Rock and Roll Record Collectors Club of Western Australia

RECORD FAIR

The Rock and Roll Record Collectors Club of Western Australia pioneered the very successful overseas concept of record fairs, holding our first one in May 1988 at the Mt. Lawley Tennis Club. Since then the club has held two fairs each year and they have proved very successful. Although they are generally referred to as "Record Fairs" in reality they offer the lover of recorded music all manner of items for sale, not only records and CD's, but clothing, posters, programmes and anything else related to the retail side of the music industry.

THE NEXT FAIR  - The next record fair is scheduled for Sunday, 2nd of May 2010 at the Victoria Park Leisurelife Centre, cnr Kent and Gloucester Streets, East Victoria Park. 09:00 am to 3:00pm. Admission $3 a single or $5:00 a couple. Children Under 16, free.

The following Fair will be 26th of September 2010

RECORD FAIR REPORT - 11th October 2009

We had a 'record' number of sellers for this fair and buyers were seen to come in early. Don Greer was kept busy on the microphone asking sellers for specific record requests from buyers and for the first time we had a small lounge area where people could sit, have a rest and watch some Rock and Roll film footage. The Club would like to thank 'Mr Rental' for supplying the equipment for this and also for some of our media needs at meetings throughout the year. We can't recommend them enough.

Numerous Celebrities such as John Dubba, Kelly Green and Dennis Bird from the Ricky May Band, were seen looking for that rare record find.

The Victoria Park Leisurelife Centre is a great venue for the fair with the coffee shop doing a brisk trade and the easy parking and access making it a great place to visit.

If you haven't been to a record fair yet, put Sunday, 2nd of May 2010 in your diary now. You won't be disapointed
